Nick Gordon, the former boyfriend of Bobbi Kristina Brown has died. He was 30 years old.

Gordon’s brother, Jack Walker Jr. confirmed to People that Gordon died Wednesday in Florida following a drug overdose. He posted to Facebook: “I love you so much big brother I hope you heard me talking to you at your bedside you are with me and I can feel it I love you I love you I love you watch over me and your nieces shit wasn’t suppose to go like this I talked to 6 hours before all this started you gave me my nickname Lil Wop and that Will forever be what I go by , you we’re best friend and I never in a million years thought I’d be writing this for my ACE I was there through every step we all love you no matter what and we’ll all stay strong for you , New Years didn’t have to start like this and you just told me you HAD to see me for New Years but I’m blessed I got to talk to you last night you will forever be my best friend nobody will ever take your place”

The Daily Mail reported that Gordon had suffered a number of heart attacks on New Year’s Day and was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit at Altamonte Springs Hospital in Altamonte Springs, Florida, where he eventually died.

His death comes nearly five years after he found Bobbi Kristina Brown — the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown — face down in a bathtub on January 31, 2015. Soon after, she was placed in an induced coma. She suffered irreversible brain damage and remained unresponsive, and died on July 26, 2015.

Brown’s family sued Gordon for wrongful death, and he was found responsible for her death in September 2016 when he no-showed in court.
