Women’s History Wednesday: Gail Perry Mason
It’s Women’s History Wednesday, and today we are honoring a local businesswoman with an inspirational story.
Being raised in foster care, Perry Mason ascended the corporate ladder from receptionist to vice president with her social skills and business acumen.
Now, she is one of the leading financial experts in this country, a frequent keynote speaker, and a best-selling author.
But, despite getting so big on a national level, she is a difference maker for what she has done educating young people on financial literacy.
Gail Perry Mason is the founder of the “Money Matters for Youth Camp”, an annual camp that aims at teaching financial literacy to children.
The annual camp has now been in operation for 21 years.
Gail’s program has received national recognition, with Money Matters receiving an invitation from billionaire investing mogul Warren Buffett to be the first youth group to attend the Berkshire-Hathaway Shareholder Meeting, and featured in a national documentary on Mr. Buffett, in 2017.
Thank you to Gail Perry Mason for everything you do in our communities. May you continue in your path to success, and may you continue to inspire the younger generations to be financially literate.
