John Legend Announces Forthcoming Album ‘Bigger Love’
There’s some exciting news for fans of John Legend. The EGOT winner recently announced that his new forthcoming album Bigger Love is currently available for pre-order and will be released on June 19.
On Tuesday (May 12), Legend also unveiled the video for the title track of the album on The Voice. Legend’s family is featured in the video, which showcases how people are staying connected during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The video also includes videos from fans of John Legend that the artist asked them to submit. “This video was made to celebrate our shared love, hope and resilience,” said Legend.
“We’re all using technology to stay in touch and finding creative ways to cope and we wanted the video to be a big musical hug for people around the world who are finding ways to stay connected to family, help their neighbors, and make time for a needed dance break despite the crazy circumstances we find ourselves in.”
The album will include John Legend’s previously released singles “Actions” and “Conversations in the Dark,” in addition to the title track. The 16-track album was executive produced by Raphael Saadiq, who also produced Legend’s 2018 album A Legendary Christmas.
Legend says that the project, the follow up to 2018’s Darkness and Light, should help in the bedroom. “It’s actually probably my sexiest album to date,” Legend told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show in March. “If you’re stuck at home and want to make some coronababies… if you spend a lot of time with your partner and you need a soundtrack to that.”
