Her full name is Lauryn Noelle Hill, making her one of the few famed musicians who goes by her real name!
When she was still in high school, Pras Michel asked Hill to join a band. His cousin, Wyclef Jean, also joined the group, and they renamed themselves The Fugees.
Hill left The Fugees in 1997, due to her rocky romantic relationship with Wyclef Jean. We've all been there!
Her 1998 solo album, "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill," was embraced by fans. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has sold millions of copies!
She's a super mom! Hill has six children, five of whom are with Rohan Marley, son of Bob Marley.
