On Tuesday (June 9), Kandi Burrus' husband, Todd Tucker, revealed that he has talked to the couple's four-year-old son about police. The television producer and Real Housewives of Atlanta star shared a photograph of their son Ace wearing a police officer uniform from a career day that took place last year.
"I haven’t been very vocal lately as my heart has been hurting. My son was a police officer for his career day last year," Tucker wrote in the caption of his post. "We were watching the news and he asked me, 'The police are bad guys?'"
"With a puzzled look. It was so hard explaining to him that the police can also be the bad guys," Tucker said. "He was so confused. And I’m still working on explaining to him the horrific acts of the police. We must have honest conversations with our children and prepare them."
Burruss has also been vocal on social media regarding what's currently taking place nationwide. The RHOA star shared a video of herself on Instagram yesterday where she spoke out about voting, defunding the police, and getting justice for families of victims of police brutality.
She had a conversation with Symone Sanders, the senior advisor for Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign. During their conversation, they discussed Breonna Taylor’s murder, and Biden’s recent statements, among other things. "I’ve been trying to do a lot of these lives to keep everybody informed about what’s going on," Burruss said.
