Erykah Badu To Deliver Teyana Taylor’s Baby At Home

As we previously reported, Teyana Taylor is expecting her second child, and now she has enlisted Erykah Badu to be her doula and deliver her second baby at home.

The current mother of one recently revealed her birthing plans during a recent interview with Nick Cannon.

“I’m considering home birth and I’m actually gonna be doing it with Erykah,” Taylor said. “They’re gonna deliver my baby. I’m super excited, so I’ma have her just sing her verse from ‘Lowkey’ for me. That will calm my nerves.”

Badu is featured on Taylor’s song “Lowkey,” which is from her new album, The Album.  “I have to brag about this because I’m very excited about this. Erykah’s not just giving anybody features, and rightfully so,” Teyana told Apple Music about the collaboration.

“I get the chills every time I hear her on this track because it took me three months to ask her. That’s how scared I was. I was prepared for her to say no.”

Badu has been a  certified doula for years. “I’ve always had a mothering nature. But I didn’t plan on becoming a doula. I just wanted to care for my family and friends, Badu told People. “When I saw the baby, I cried. I knew what I was supposed to do with my life.”
