Blue Ivy Carter Scores BET Award for ‘Brown Skin Girl’ Song with Her Mom, Beyonce
Congratulations are in order for Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s oldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, who took home her own BET Award on Sunday (June 28).
Blue Ivy, who is just 8 years old, scored the BET Her Award for “Brown Skin Girl,” a song from Beyoncé’s “The Lion King: The Gift” album.
Blue Ivy make an appearance on the track with her mom, as well as Saint Jhn and Wizkid.
They won the trophy over a handful of other talented artists, including Alicia Keys for “Underdog,” Ciara, Lupita Nyong’o, Ester Dean, City Girls and LaLa for “Melanin,” Layton Greene for “I Choose,” Lizzo and Missy Elliott for “Tempo,” and Rapsody and PJ Morton for “Afeni.”
