7 Celebrities Who Did The Big Chop

Author Glennisha Morgan
July 10th, 2020 2:03 PM

Actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish recently did “the big chop” during an Instagram Live session, which caused some fans to question whether or not the Los Angeles native was okay.

She had been wearing her hair in faux locs prior to cutting her hair, during the quarantine.

In response to some of her fans, Haddish took to Instagram to ensure her fans that she was, in fact, alright, but that she had always wanted to cut her hair, and that it felt like the perfect time to do so.

I cut all my hair off cause I want to see my Scalp . I know my whole body I know where every mole is but I don't know my Scalp. So hello Scalp #SheReady to everything.

“Cut my hair! I cut all my hair off cause I want to see my Scalp,” Haddish wrote in the caption of the video that she shared to Instagram of herself cutting her hair.

“I know my whole body I know where every mole is but I don’t know my Scalp. So hello Scalp #SheReady to everything.”

For some odd reason, whenever a Black woman decides to cut her hair off or do “the big chop,” her sanity seems to be questioned by some.
