The founder of Jelly Belly is kicking off a series of "golden ticket" treasure hunts across the U.S. in honor of his upcoming retirement. It's like a real-life Willy Wonka!

In a video message, David Klein announced that the grand prize winner will score the key to their very own candy factory. Even those who don't win the main prize could score thousands of dollars in other prizes.

Klein says these special, golden tickets are being hidden in secret locations throughout the U.S.

"You will be looking for a Gold Ticket in the form of a necklace with a tag that includes a code you need to use to verify your find. Winners will receive $5,000," the contest rules state.

One person will win the grand prize. Is this real life? Finally, something good to come out of 2020.

David Klein is one of the original inventors of Jelly Belly jelly beans, who recently retired. He helped create the famed an oh-so tasty Jelly Belly jelly bean in 1976.
