Ford Motor Co. and Ford Dealers are donating a whopping $3.5 million to military charities this holiday season in conjunction with their "Proud to Honor" program.

You can help.

For each person who shares a post on social media about their pride in a member of the U.S. military, using the hashtag #proudtohonor, Ford will donate $100 to be divided evenly between the seven Ford "Proud to Honor" military charities, up to $3.5 million. The incentive runs through Dec. 31.

Ford's "Proud to Honor" charities include Blue Star Families, Guitars for Vets, DAV, Workshops for Warriors, Oscar Mike, Bunker Labs and Boulder Crest Foundation.

“We are humbled by the sacrifices made by our military service members and their families,” Mark LaNeve, vice president of U.S. marketing, sales, and service at Ford, said in a statement. “Our Ford dealers are woven into the fabric of their communities and I’m proud of the support they provide to make a difference in the lives of our vets.”
