Happy 58th birthday to Vanessa L. Williams!
The former Miss America was born Vanessa Lynne Williams on March 18, 1963. She was the first African-American woman to receive the Miss America title, but ended up resigning under pressure due to Penthouse magazine publishing unauthorized nude photographs of her. She’ll always be Miss America to us!
