Detroit’s ‘Neighborhood Vaccine Week’ Still Happening, Switching to Pfizer Doses
By now, you’ve hard that the CDC has recommended pausing the use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccine.
So, what impact does this have on the City of Detroit’s “Neighborhood Vaccine Week?” Not much, as the City’s plans are still a go.
Detroit was scheduled to administer Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines to residents participating in Neighborhood Vaccine Week, but now, they will administer the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines instead.
Detroit officials state that anyone who made a vaccination appointment this week should keep it.
Note that vaccination appointments must be made in advance by calling 313-230-0505. Appointments are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. the rest of the week.
