If you have some great Detroit stories to share, then the Detroit Historical Society wants to talk with you.

The organization is looking for stories for two ongoing projects: "Neighborhoods: Where Detroit Lives" and "Detroit Responds: Stories from the time of COVID-19."

"Neighborhoods: Where Detroit Lives" features current and former Detroit residents to discussing their experiences in the city. ""These personal stories will ensure that the character of Detroit's many enclaves is preserved," states a press release.

"Detroit Responds: Stories from the time of COVID-19" is looking for locals to share their stories from the pandemic. "We are living in exceptional times," the organization state on their official website. "The COVID-19 Pandemic has impacted all of us. Families, friend groups and businesses have all been disrupted as social distancing and mandated shelter in place orders alter our daily lives. The Society wants to hear how this crisis is affecting you."

The Detroit Historical Society is accepting audio recordings and written stories via OralHistory.DetroitHistorical.org. Those interested in an interview with an oral historian may call 313-833-7912 or email williamw@detroithistorical.org.
