NEW ORLEANS, LA - JULY 02: Master P performs onstage at the 2017 ESSENCE Festival Presented By Coca Cola at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on July 2, 2017 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Master P is giving back to his hometown New Orleans, Louisiana through his water company to aid in hurricane relief from the recent disaster of Hurricane Ida.

NOLA, which has been one of the most impacted areas of Hurricane Ida, will be receiving relief from the business mogul through his water company “LA Great.” Per TMZ, “he’s also looking into other ways to send relief and make sure people are getting fed too, while asking everyone to send prayers and come together to help in any way they can.”

Fortunately, the city bolstered up levees and floodgates to diminish the impact of Hurricane Ida’s force but still, the storm left a million people without power and left four people dead.

Hurricane Ida struck land on Sunday, on the 16th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina which became the “deadliest and costliest hurricane to hit the US in recorded history,” per CNN.
