Will Michigan Natural Gas Prices Increase This Year? DTE Answers
There’s been lots of talk about natural gas prices increasing this winter on the national front, but DTE Energy customers in Michigan reportedly will be exempt.
According to DTE, its natural gas customers won’t see major price increases this winter, even as prices across the U.S. go up.
The U.S. Department of Energy says a 30% increase in natural gas prices could happen this winter. Nobody is happy about it, but if you’re a DTE customer in Michigan, you don’t have to worry. DTE states that it solidified prices for expected natural gas needs for this winter before prices went up, so its customers will save a bundle of money compared to the majority of the market.
