Being single is fun for some, but not-so fun for others. Now, it appears one of the best cities for singles in the entire U.S. is right here in Michigan. So, if you're looking to meet awesome singles, this is apparently a hot spot.

The crew at WalletHub as put together a survey of 2021's best and worst cities for singles. "To help America’s singles find love, WalletHub compared more than 180 U.S. cities across 32 key indicators of dating-friendliness," they stated. "Our data set ranges from the share of the population that is single to the number of online dating opportunities to the average price for a two-person meal."

So, what's the top city in Michigan? Grand Rapids is the best spot for singles in Michigan and the No. 24 best city in the U.S. overall. Not bad at all! I know a few great singles in Grand Rapids, so this doesn't surprise me. Detroit also earned a spot at No. 140 on the list. I think the Motor City should have been higher, but it's still a good showing.

The No. 1 city for singles in the U.S. surprises me: Madison, Wisconsin. I've never been there, but it just didn't seem like an obvious choice. No. 2 is Seattle, Washington, followed by Portland, Oregon; Denver, Colorado; and Austin, Texas. Find the full list here. Do you agree with WalletHub's picks?
