Here’s How Much Snow Michigan Actually Got This Week
Snow predictions were a bit off this week, to say the least. Detroit was supposed to get pummeled with up to 18 inches of snow, and while the metro area did get snow, it just wasn’t as much as predicted. Other areas of the state were actually supposed to get a dusting of snow and ended up getting hit hard.
So, how much snow did Michigan actually get? The National Weather Service has released snow totals for a range of cities throughout Michigan. You’ll find those totals below.
Some cities actually broke snow records. According to the National Weather Service, 11 inches of snow fell at Bishop International Airport in Flint, which broke a record. That total from Wednesday (Feb. 2) is also the 12th highest from a single winter storm system in Flint since records started in 1921. Lansing also set a daily record of 12.9 inches, as recorded by the Lansing Airport.
