Whether or not you're into cooking, watching the Food Network can be a great time. It's fascinating to see how local restaurants across the country create delicious cuisine for their communities, and Michigan is no exception. Most of my favorite Michigan restaurants are locally owned, which is why shows that highlight local spots are so gratifying to watch.

Now, one of the Food Network's most popular shows, "Diners Drive-Ins and Dives," is set to feature a popular Michigan eatery on Friday (Feb. 11). From an owner's perspective, I can't imagine the excitement of Guy Fieri and the Food Network staff popping by a local spot.

Eastside Fish Fry & Grill is set to appear on the show this Friday, and it's actually the second time the restaurant has been featured. The Food Network was such a fan of the show the first time they visited that they decided to come back for me.

The restaurant announced the news via social media. "If you enjoyed our episode on Food Network diners drive-ins and dives with Guy Fieri as much as we enjoyed shooting it you’re in for a special treat because we have been featured again our next episode," they stated. "...Eastside Fish Fry and Grill Thanks and appreciates all the love, support and business we receive every day," they stated. "We wouldn’t be where we are today without our customers." It's so great to see local spots get recognized nationally. What restaurants would you like to see on the show? Reach out to me on social media and let me know!
