Michigan Restaurant Giving Away Tacos Every Week for a Year
Tacos are certainly a favorite dish here in Michigan. I mean, who doesn’t love a hot, spicy taco? Thankfully, Michiganders want for little when it comes to taco restaurants, as we have a bunch of great ones throughout the state.
Now, a taco restaurant is expanding and opening a new location in a city they’ve never been in before. It’s part of a larger expansion, to boot.
Condado Tacos will open a new location at 401 E. Liberty in Ann Arbor on March 3. The location will be the restaurant’s fourth metro Detroit spot. It will be worth it to get there early, as the first 100 guests in line at the restaurant on opening day will score a “Year of Yum,” one free taco every week for a year, and a Year of Yum limited-edition t shirt. Everyone who shows up on opening day will get a free taco with purchase and $5 signature margaritas. Doors will open at 11 a.m., after a special ribbon cutting. In addition, guests who post to Instagram or Facebook on opening weekend with the hashtag #condadoannarbor will be entered to win a $1,000 Condado gift card.
“The Condado Tacos team couldn’t be more excited to open our first restaurant in Ann Arbor, and bring crave-worthy tacos and margs to this artistic and vibrant community,” Chris Artinian, president and CEO of Condado Tacos, said in a statement. “We often say Condado serves up ‘Enough Yum for Everyone’ and we feel that’s becoming truer in Michigan with the addition of our 30th restaurant (overall) in Ann Arbor next month, where our guests have embraced us since we first arrived there.”
In addition, Detroit and Ann Arbor artists have created murals for the new restaurant joining Condado’s characters with Ann Arbor landscapes. According to Condado Tacos, who is based in Ohio, the taco expects to double its size by the end of 2023. View the menu here.
