So, who’s No. 1? The top honor goes to Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken, which actually has locations across the U.S. and multiple locations in the Mitten. Here in Michigan, one of the Yelp reviews states (via Jennifer C.), “Favorite place to stop in all of Detroit. Bone in chicken is where it’s at. Don’t forget to fill up on sweet tea before you leave.” Another one from Jillian T. says, “If you love Fried Chicken and other fried things, get over here! It’s finger licking good! The chicken has the perfect amount of batter on it, and it’s fried to a golden crunchiness. But, still juicy inside. Crispy outside, juicy inside. Never dry.
