It's a very Michigan thing to love chicken wings. The only people I know of who don't love chicken wings around here are vegetarians. That said, if chicken wings are your thing, make note that a major event is on the way.

The Michigan Chicken Wing Festival is returning this September. The festival "was inducted into the Super Bowl of Wing Festivals in 2015 as a catalyst to bring the community together," the event's official website states. "This festival is not about how many wing vendors participate; it's more about the different flavors of wings you can buy at the festival. The festival provides a platform for food vendors to showcase their talent in vending; merchandise vendors to display their best products. In addition, national and local sponsors are allowed to promote their company and products."

The event takes place Sept. 3 and 4 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Adado Riverfront Park in Lansing. According to organizers, plenty of food vendors and merchandise sellers will be on hand. Plus, they'll have a family-friendly event features a stage for musical acts, live entertainment, pro-wrestling, contests and more. Not to mention there will also be a VIP beer and wine tent. Did we mention someone will also be crowned the Michigan Chicken Wing Festival King or Queen?

A portion of the proceeds raised from the event will benefit Against All Odds Foundation. "This organization supports Cancer Survivors with their imminent needs, including groceries, prescription medication co-payment, cell phone bill payment, and transportation to doctor appointments, as well as families in the underserved community, through our free retail store "Lillian's" in the Lansing Mall," the website states. There will be a limited number of Wing Sampling tickets available via advance purchase only. The tickets are also available only at select vendors. For more information and to get advanced tickets, head to the event's site.

"Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives," hosted by Guy Fieri on the Food Network, is one of the most popular shows for food lovers. There's just something super entertaining about Fieri, and the show is so fun to watch. What's extra cool is that Fieri has come to Michigan multiple times and picked local restaurants to highlight on the show.

TVFoodmaps.com has compiled a full directory of all the restaurants that have appeared on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives." Think of this as a list of spots every Michigan food lover should visit. Some of these restaurants are familiar to me, like Krazy Jim's Blimpy Burger, while others I are not. My parents actually live just a few miles from Zaytoon Mediterranean in Lansing, Michigan, and I had no idea they were featured on the show until now. They do have some great Miditerranean food. Which are your favorite Michigan spots that you think should be featured on the show? Reach out to me on social media and give me some recommendations!

In total, Fieri has highlights 16 different Michigan restaurants on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives." What can I say- we have some great eating spots here! View the full list of Michigan restaurants featured on the show below, and make sure to visit them at some point. View the full list here.
