The study was done by CountryLiving.com. Side note: I love this site. It makes me feel warm and happy inside. Of course, I was curious about the No. 1 best corn maze in America, and why it was picked as No. 1. According to the polling, it's Ramseyer Farms in Wooster, Ohio, so not too far away. Okay, it's about three hours from Detroit, so that is a trek, but still doable. "Ramseyer Farms has two mazes each fall. Their new Cars-themed maze will be a hit with visitors of all ages," CountryLiving.com says.
So, what about Michigan? No. 6 on the list is DeBuck's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch in Belleville, Michigan. "Don't worry: If you get lost in DeBuck's, you can always ask for help," the publication states. "This sprawling challenge is fun for the whole family, and 2019's design (pictured here) is a stunner. The farm also offers a pumpkin patch, sunflower field, and treats from their country kitchen." Then, No. 27 on the list is New Salem Corn Maze in Dorr, Michigan. "Get ready for some spooky fun at the New Salem Corn Maze located in Dorr, Michigan," CountryLiving.com says. "Teens and grown-ups can get their kicks by taking on their Haunted Corn Maze, Witches Wood adventure, or their Zombie Attack wagon ride. And for the family who wants a fun—not frightening—maze experience, stop by the Grand Rapids attraction and check out their kid-friendly Daytime Corn Maze." I'm always surprised how many people say fall is their favorite season, but it is a beautiful time of year, especially in Michigan. I personally think Michigan offers some of the best fall colors in the entire U.S., and now there's proof that the Mitten is a great place to see vibrant fall colors. I'm already seeing a few leaves changing colors, and while it's beautiful, I have to admit I wasn't very happy to see the changing leaves, since it means summer is winding down. I'm not ready for it to end.
The crew at US News & World Report has put together a list of the best places to view fall foliage in the U.S. "There's no other time of year quite like fall," they state. "Brisk, cool mornings give way to afternoons warmed by the sun, and the drop in temperature causes leaves to change from shades of green to a kaleidoscope of warm colors before winter sets in. Of course, the best times to view fall foliage differs by region and year, so check with your local spots before venturing out on a big fall foliage viewing trip. "Many top destinations to view fall's splendor have leaf and foliage reports, maps and trackers so you can follow the local predictions and current conditions – and arrive just in time for the best of the season," US World & News Report says.
