"Jesus Is King" became the first album to not only top the Christian and Gospel albums charts but also the Billboard 200, R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap, at the same time. (Source: TMZ)
In an interview with VladTV, Sapp said after thinking about it he didn’t think it was fair because, “it ends up eclipsing those of us who really do this for the genre and as a lifestyle.”
Bishop Sapp also said that even though he has won many awards he can look at it differently and can, “absolutely sympathize with up-and-coming artists when you look at Billboard and Kanye’s whole record is like 1-40 of our genre.”
He also shared that because an artist makes a few songs about God isn't grounds for an artist to be considered a gospel singer. (Source: VIBE)
