Eastern Market Brewing Co. released With Her beer for Alternatives For Girls, a nonprofit based in Southwest Detroit. This shelter helps homeless and high-risk girls and young women avoid violence, teen pregnancy, and exploitation by giving them access to support and resources.

The brewery has produced their third annual batch of With Her beer. Each year the beer has the same name but it's a different style of beer. Eastern Market Brewing Co. said that this year’s beer is a guava, passionfruit blonde ale.

"It’s our way of celebrating Women’s History Month and International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day," said the beer company.

In addition to celebrating women, they connected with a local artist to design this year’s vibrant pink With her beer can. "We teamed up with Detroit-based artist Meredith Lynne to create a delightfully vibrant label that is empowering, and fun, and you can't help but smile when you see it."

Every year the brewer donates the proceeds to benefit Alternative For Girls. For every unit sold, draft beer or cans, Eastern Market Brewing Co. will donate a $1 to the nonprofit. "No one has to do any work except enjoy this delicious brew!" said the brewery.

The beer is currently on tap at the Eastern Market Brewing Co. taproom, Ferndale Project taproom, and Lincoln Tap. They are also selling cans at all locations.
