Adult Book Fair Hits Royal Oak Taproom
Embedded in the memories of many are book fairs. They offer a unique experience with a variety of items for both kids and adults. Sidetrack Bookshop and North End Taproom in Royal Oak are teaming up for the “Grown-Up Book Fair” at North End Taproom. This event will feature books, beer, and food.
Sidetrack Bookshop will showcase a curated collection of books and book-themed gifts. As a bonus, Sidetrack will unveil details about a new winter challenge, Books & Brews Bingo. North End Taproom, a self-serve taproom with over 40 taps, will provide an extensive beverage selection and a menu. Food offerings include burgers, fish tacos, tatchos (tater tot nachos) and salads. There will also be shareables like fried chickpeas, shisito peppers and meatballs.
Expressing their enthusiasm for the collaboration, Sidetrack Bookshop shared on Facebook, “We’re SOOOO excited to team up with North End Taproom for this fun and nostalgic book fair. Even though it’s marketed for adults, the Taproom is a great family-friendly environment, and we can’t wait to enjoy a great night out in the community!”
The announcement of the collaboration garnered a lot of attention on social media. One person commented, “This is basically all I want for Christmas. I cannot wait.” Another person suggested making it a group outing by tagging their friends and commenting, “book club goes to the book fair?”
North End Taproom, which opened its doors in August, stands out as one of the city’s first self-serve taprooms. Patrons are welcomed with an extensive beverage selection, including options like Two-Hearted IPA, Tangerine Wheat, Black Ale, Salted Caramel Porter (S.C.P.), BBA Tiramisu Stout, which are sourced from various cities across Michigan.
The “Grown-Up Book Fair” is scheduled for January 10, 2024, at North End Taproom, located at 111 S. Main in Royal Oak, running from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
