Tim Hortons Celebrates 60 Years With ‘Roll Up To Win’
Tim Hortons is bringing their Roll Up to Win promotion. The food and beverage chain is launching this promotion in celebration of its 60th anniversary. According to a news release, the promotion will be running through the end of March.
How It Works
Roll Up the Rim to Win originated over 35 years ago as a “gesture of gratitude to its patrons.” It started as an in-store promotion where customers would physically roll up the rim of their cup to reveal prizes. Now, it has evolved into a digital experience on the Tims App.
Some people took to Reddit to share their thoughts on the promotion’s digital presence. “When roll up the rim went digital it lost any and all appeal,” someone said. Another person reminisced about the days people had to physically roll up the rim of their cup to win a prize. “I agree that it was more fun for the customer when you actually had to roll up the rim and rip off your prize,” they said. They continued, “While I didn’t think much of it when I was younger, I understand how disgusting that Tim’s staff had to handle these rims that had been slobbered over.”
Someone also pointed out that the digital Roll Up To Win made it “easier” to get “no purchase necessary” rolls.

To participate in Roll Up To Win, fans must have a free Tims Rewards account, available on the Tim Hortons App or at RollUpToWin.com. Tims Rewards Members can enjoy their favorite hot or iced drinks and earn rolls to swipe up and reveal prizes on the Tim Hortons App or at RollUpToWin.com.
This Year’s Prizes
Tim Hortons is offering a chance to win several prizes. Timmy fans can score a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sport, Universal Orlando Resort Vacation Packages, JBL Speakers, $100 Gift Cards to Apple, DoorDash, Instacart, and AirBnB, Thousands of Tims products from free drinks to baked goods, and other prizes.
The chain is adding an extra layer to this year’s promotion. “Apart from the regular array of prizes, lucky guests who unveil their 60th roll will also bag a 10-pack of delicious Timbits,” they stated.
