Sometimes, finding love happens in the most unexpected way. People always say that you'll find love when you aren't looking, and sometimes that means finding your special someone at a random grocery store, concert, gas station or even work. If you're wondering, yes, I do know of someone who met her now-husband at the grocery store, so it does happen. Now, a Michigan news anchor team has gotten engaged, so they have a truly happy ending to their personal and professional lives.

Michigan News Anchor Team is Engaged

Have you ever wondered if being part of a news anchor team could spark a romance? Sometimes, the chemistry between the people on camera just seems too good to be strictly professional. Well, one news anchor team from Lansing has been dating for a while now, and they're taking that romance to the next level. If you have to work with someone every morning and have them be the first person you see during the early hours, then why not have them be your special person?

WILX's Seth Wells and Maureen Halliday got engaged during Memorial Day weekend. According to WILX, the couple met after Halliday was hired at "New 10 Today" in 2018. Before coming onboard the morning show, Halliday was a weekend news anchor and reporter at WILX. She started as a reporter, and began his career at WILX as a sports news anchor and reporter. Wells and Halliday officially became co-anchors of "News 10 Today" in December 2021. That happened after Wells came back to WILX following spending a year in Grand Rapids at WOOD-TV. Now, the two are engaged and planning for their big day.

The community is excited for Wells and Halliday, too. Halliday took to Facebook to share the good news, posting, "Seth and I have the best co-workers anyone could ask for. It’s been so special to not only share the news of our engagement with friends and family, but also with our viewers. Thank you for all of your kind words over the last few days. Seth and I are over the moon." Wells also shared the good news on Facebook, writing, "Our wonderful colleagues surprised us this morning on News 10 Today. Tilly made a surprise appearance as well." Their story warms my heart. I wish them many years of happiness and blessings together. I'm curious if you've met a significant other at a unique spot. Contact me and let me know.
