Star quarterback Aaron Rodgers helped the Green Bay Packers have many successful years, and with Green Bay being the Detroit Lions' big NFC North rival, of course many people around Detroit hate on Rodgers. But, how did the Detroit Tigers roast Aaron Rodgers? It's not even the same sport, but they made it happen. Let's get into what happened.

The Detroit Tigers Roast Aaron Rodgers at Recent Game

Detroit will always find a way to troll or roast Aaron Rodgers. It's just part of what it means to be a Motor City loyalist. Detroit Lions fans may be very different in their everyday lives, but they can all bond over a mutual distaste for Rodgers. In that spirit, the Detroit Tigers figured it would make sense to have some fun with Rodgers during a recent game. What he has to do with baseball and the Tigers is not clear. But, hey, why not? Not that I'm condoning making fun of anyone. Frankly, as much as I love my Detroit Lions, I was really sad to see Rodgers injured in the first game of his career with the New York Jets and out for the season. It's just not fun when guys get injured, and that includes Rodgers. But, perhaps enough time has passed that now everyone feels comfortable poking fun at Rodgers' season-ending injury last season. At least, that seems to be the case with the Detroit Tigers.

The trolling happened during the Detroit Tigers' Sunday 10-2 win over the Brewers. The Tigers asked a question during a fan trivia segment, and that question was whether Rodgers, the New York Jets' quarterback, or Jalen Reeves-Maybin, a Detroit Lions linebacker, completed more passes during the 2023 season. Obviously, Rodgers tore his Achilles just four snaps, and no completions, into the 2023 season, so Reeves-Maybin was the correct choice, 1-0. So, the Tigers roast Aaron Rodgers. But, ouch. That's pretty rough to troll Rodgers about his injury. I could see if it was some funny trivia from his time in Green Bay, but they had to go there and make it about his few moments with the Jets.

“Ruthless video board game at Comerica Park,” WXYZ’s Brad Galli tweeted with a caption of the photo during the game. So, yes, it's true that Reeves-Maybin had more completions than Rodgers last season. Everyone in the crowd had some belly laughs over it. But, that makes me hope I don't get on the bad side of whoever is running the Tigers scoreboard. Reach out to me and let me know what you think.
