Why Did Will Smith Decided To Dip Into Gospel Music?
If you ask me, Will Smith – even when doing secular music – has always featured fun, danceable happy rap. So, the debut of his single “You Can Make It” isn’t a stretch for me.
But in an interview with Billboard, Smith explained that he was really talking to himself. “To see so many people resonate with the intention, gives me a clear North Star for this next chapter of my creative life.”
Why Did Will Smith Decided To Dip Into Gospel Music?
So, does that mean that the award-winning entertainer is pivoting to gospel music? That remains to be seen. Smith said, “It’s my humble wish that it can do the same for you and bring you all the joy and light you deserve.”
“You Can Make It” dropped at midnight June 28th, 2024, and features artist Fridayy and the Sunday Service Choir. The song is geared to empower and strengthen listeners going through tough times.
The single marks Smith’s debut as an independent music artist. Renowned for his vibrant persona in both the film and music sectors, Smith is eager to re-engage with his audience, bringing a potent message of optimism and resilience.
