Artist Spotlight: Echo (The Duo)
Today I had the opportunity to talk to Echo! Twins Lindsey and Jemika Ferguson are bringing their unique sound to the radio, but they are no strangers to those of us in the Motor City.
The duo was born into a musical household and began singing in church at a very early age, just like most iconic artists. They spent many years traveling across the country, singing and serving as worship leaders at various churches, including their father’s church. And, the sisters have been backup singers for Gospel greats such as The Clark Sisters, Kierra Sheard-Kelly, Karen Clark-Sheard, John P. Kee, Melvin Crispell Jr., Le’Andria Johnson, Donnie McClurkin, Kirk Franklin, Jonathan Nelson, and Tim Bowman Jr. & Faith City Music to name a few.
They’re now set to transition from the background to the spotlight. We discussed their move to the forefront, their single “Sanctuary,” and what’s next on their growing agenda.. You can find their single wherever you stream your music and follow Echo on social media @echotheduo.
