‘Hello, Newman’: ‘Seinfeld’ Star Wayne Knight To Attend Motor City Comic Con 2024

Seinfeld star Wayne Knight will be coming to Motor City Comic Con 2024 in November! He's not the only familiar face you'll get to see.

That's right. In November, you'll have the opportunity to say, "Hello...Newman" to the man himself! Wayne Knight, the actor who famously played America's favorite TV mailman will be one of the many featured guests at the event that's said to be Michigan's largest pop culture event!

Despite not having a lot of screen time, Newman became a favorite on what many consider to be the greatest sitcom of all-time. On Seinfeld, Newman is a character who lives in Jerry's building and is friends with Kramer. He's known to be Jerry Seinfeld's arch-nemesis. Whenever he sees him he lets out a slow begrudging, "Hello, Newman." Newman is an interesting character. He can be evil, he can be charming, but he's always funny. Anytime he appeared, he was going to make you laugh. It could be his maniacal laugh, flirting with Elaine, or a surprisingly poetic monologue--anything. If you saw him, you knew it was coming.

Newman is one of those characters that you just can't see being played by anyone other than Wayne Knight. He was perfect for the role and really brought the character to life. It was great to see Knight reprise his role as Newman in a campaign for the United States Postal Service a few years ago. There's nothing Newman loved more than the mail. After all, like he once said, "if you control the mail, you control...information!"

Knight also had roles in Jurassic Park, Space Jam, and The Exes. I loved his character in Space Jam, definitely a lot of laughs there. Wayne Knight won't be the only face you'll recognize at Motor City Comic Con 2024. Karan Ashley who played the second Yellow Power Ranger will be there. As will Geoge Takei who played Sulu in the Star Trek TV series. Law And Order: Criminal Intent's Vincent D'Onofrio will also be there! You might also recognize him from Men In Black and one of the recent Jurassic World movies. Other celebrity guests include Ron Perlman, Rob Paulsen, and more!
