Toastique opens Saturday at 89 Monroe, a stone's throw from Campus Martius. This marks the chain's first Detroit location. The fast-casual eatery serves avocado toast, smoothies, matcha lattes, and health-conscious plates.

Want rewards? The first 100 people waiting Saturday will snag $50 in rewards dollars for later visits. Giveaways continue through Nov. 12.

Sunday brings free drip coffee when you spend $10 or more. On Monday you'll get $5 juice on tap with any order. Tuesday hands out free coffee or espresso with purchases, and Nov. 12 delivers 16-ounce smoothies for just $6 all day.

This health-focused national chain launched its flagship in Washington, D.C. Brianna Keefe, a D1 collegiate cheerleader, started it in 2018.

Detroit becomes the second Michigan location. Ann Arbor got one last year. Siblings Nour Kanaan, Sarah Kanaan, Hanadi Kanaan, Aya Kanaan, Abbas Kanaan, and Zeinab Ballout run this downtown operation.

"We've selected Detroit as our first Toastique location because we felt like the city really needed something like this; there's so much growth happening here, but not many quick and healthy options for people working or living downtown," said Nour Kanaan in a press release per The Detroit News.

Doors open Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 89 Monroe in downtown Detroit.
