Open Dec. 24 But Closed Dec. 25
Some restaurants won't serve anyone on Christmas Day including:
- Arby's operates Dec. 24
- Chili's closes at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve
- Chipotle wraps up at 3 p.m. Dec. 24
- Cracker Barrel stops service at 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve
- Del Taco runs on Christmas Eve
- Olive Garden feeds diners Dec. 24
- Red Lobster operates from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve
- Hooters keeps the doors open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Dec. 24. Call ahead before you go—hours may shift by location.
Open Christmas Day
Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse in Northville will be open. So will Joe Muer in Bloomfield Hills and San Morello in Detroit. The Apparatus Room in Detroit is open. RH House in Rochester Hills plans to seat guests as well.
Chain restaurants will operate on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, though hours differ depending on where you go. Applebee's, Bob Evans, Buffalo Wild Wings, Burger King, Denny's, Domino's Pizza, McDonald's, and Wendy's intend to remain open both days.
IHOP will flip pancakes on Dec. 25. Benihana, Fogo de Chão, Kona Grill, Outback Steakhouse, and P.F. Chang's will serve meals both days—but you'll want to book ahead.
Morton's The Steakhouse and Ruth's Chris Steak House require advance bookings for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar opens on Christmas Eve but shuts down Dec. 25.
