Since beginning in 1916, it made sure to help advance the lives of African-American people. In the early years, the League assisted migrants of the south with various resources such as information on housing, education, and employment.
Today, The League has a staff of over 40 people and helps over 60,000 people a year. They help to provide equal opportunities for all individuals, build healthy communities, advocate for children’s education, and create overall educated and empowered people.
