May is Mental Health Awareness Month and it’s a grand occasion. Mental health is such a big deal and it doesn’t just affect whichever person one may be discussing. My mental health affects yours just as your mental health affects mine. One cannot be realistically be separate from the other. Which in in turn, makes May so important.
For some reason, there is a stigma surrounding mental health amongst black men and boys. Some people consider it weak, strange or odd when black men discuss these types of issues.
