As school starts back for millions of our young people on tomorrow, we have an interview with a young educator/leader that you don’t want to miss. Our BACK-TO-SCHOOL series continues this week as we talk with School Administrator & Assistant Superintendent of Wayne-Westland Community Schools Dr. Andrae Townsel. At age 34 his is already making his mark in the field of Education. As a principal in SouthBridge Highschool in Massachusettes, he took an under-performing school and turned it around in less than two years. Dr. Townsel has a unique and effective way of connecting with young people and he continues to use these skills as the Asst Superintendent of Wayne-Westland Community Schools when he transitioned back to his hometown of Michigan back in March of this year. In our interview with Dr. Townsel, we talked about some of the creative ways he’s connected with students at his schools, what ways we can improve the school districts not just here in the State of Michigan but around the country, and a lot more.
