We continue our #WomensHistoryMonth series of interviews with a vey talented and gifted violinist-Candice “Pretty Stringz” Smith. In this special #WomensHistoryMonth Edition we hear Candice’s story of how she begin playing at the age of nine and because of competitve drive and passion for this instrument, it has taken her places that she never even dreamed of. Recognized as a versatile artist, Candice plays: Gospel, Contemporary-Christian, Smooth Jazz, Pop and R&B. Her well-rounded talent has landed her gigs opening for artist such as Vickie Winans, Day 26 and Rick Ross. Furthermore, she played in the Restored Me movie soundtrack (2016) and the Matthew Barney Film: River of Fundament (2015). She was also professionally trained and mentored by the Detroit Symphony Ochestra through a program from her highschool. We can’t wait to share more of her story and we are very excited to have her on the show.
