8am Pt 2 Black & Blue: #WhenTheySeeUs the Conversation feat. Atty Boyd White

July 24th, 2019

If you enjoyed Pt.1 then you don’t want to miss the conclusion of our discussion of the Emmy Nominated Netflix docuseries producted by Director Ava DuVernay #WhenTheySeeUs. In this 2nd part of our discussion we deal with some of the conclusions and solutions that we can draw from these prowerful docuseries. This is such an important conversation that we are having regarding Police Brutality and the Criminal Justice System, and how our young black boys have seemingly become targets that we as a community have to properly equip them with the knowledge to avoid some of the pitfalls of their predecessors. During this 2nd part of this conversation we shift towards addressing some of the practical solutions that our young boys and men can use to properly engage the police and to do it respectuflly, diferentially and most importantly knowing and understainding your rights.

We will also be talking about what you’re thinking about regading some of the week’s hottest topics during our “What Are You Thinking About” segment, including what R-Kelly’s Crisis Manager had to say to Gayle King, Huggies Celebration of Black Fathers, and the 110th NAACP Convention in Detroit. PLUS, we have a dynamite thought of the week that will wrap up of this series and give you some practical takeaways that wil help us as a community become stronger and wiser when it comes to engaging the police and navigating through this Criminal Justice System.  Tonight’s show is definitely one that you don’t want to miss.
