BLACK HISTORY MATTERS

July 21st, 2020

Tonight we remember the life and legacy of two great men who passed just hours from each other on Friday July 17th. Dr. CT Vivian and the Hon. Congressman John Lews both left this world in much better shape than they found it almost 100yrs ago .They both lived during some very tumultous times as Black men in this country in search of equality and justice for all Back people. They both work directly with Dr. Martin Luther King during the Civil Rights Movement, marching and protesting for justice. Even after the movement, both men might have taken different paths but they both continued to strive for equali rigths for all of God’s people. We discuss their iconic lives during tonight’s show. And, we also share the song “Glory’ that the Detroit Youth Choir recently recorded and shot a video for it right here in the City of Detroit. We talk with Gwenolyn Jackson and her mother Hollie as they share their experiences shooting the video and recording the song..

PLUS, we have another dynamic Thought of the Week in store for you as well. Needless to say, we hace a great show in store for you tonight and we defdinitely hope that you join us tonight at 8;m. Talk to you soon!
