Tonight, we are having an important fireside chat exclusively for men. This has been a long overdue conversation and discussion that we need to have with the young men of this generation. In this week’s edition we talk about the fallout behind NBA Star Point Guard Ja Morant poor decision to brandish a gun at a Denver Night Club and the consequences he could face not just from the Memphis Grizzles but also the NBA. We also discuss the tragic shooting in Tuscaloosa, Alabama outside a downtown night club that also involved several players from the University of Alabama Basketball Team. And, how a split second decision could cost them not only a possible pro career but also a possible life sentence.
Yes. I know we are having this conversation in the midst of Women’s History Month where we typically pay tribute to and acknowledge the accomplishments of women all around the globe who continue to make an indelible impact in our world. Ladies, we haven’t forgotten about you, and we do have some amazing interviews lined up for this month. But, we believe this is an very important and worthwhile discussion that we -as men need to have, not just our sake but for the sake of future generations.
PLUS, we have got an impactful and extremely candid take on the Ja Morant situation from NBA Star & ESPN Analyst Jalen Rose that we are calling “Been There, Done That” as our Thought of the Week. In this week’s thought, Jalen Rose talks candidly about his early missteps as a NBA Player and what he did to turn his life around and how Ja Morant has an opportunity to do the same.
This week’s show is definitely an important one to listen to, and even share with our Young Black Boys & Men who are need of encouraging and empowering words of wisdom to help them as they navigate through life. Remember this week’s show is available everywhere you listen to your podcast, including MichaelNimmons.com.
