My birthday is coming up on August 10, and I always miss all my birthday freebies. I just never remember until the day of my birthday to see what Michigan stores and restaurants offer free stuff on birthdays, and by then, it’s often too late.
With that in mind, this year, I set out to find the best Michigan birthday freebies more than a week before my big day. Let’s just say I was determined to get a head start. As it turns out, a large number of Michigan and national spots offer great birthday freebies and gifts. One of my favorites is always Biggby Coffee, which offers a free drink up to 24 oz. on your birthday, if you belong to their BIGBY Nation club. Another famous Michigan name is Zingerman’s of Ann Arbor. Nearly all the Zingermann’s spots in Ann Arbor offer a special birthday deal, some requiring just a flash of the ID at their store and others asking for you to sign up for their newsletter or another program. Who would have thought?
I’m looking through some of these food freebies, and after seeing these, I think I’m going to be very full on my birthday. Both Denny’s and IHOP offer free breakfast deals for your birthday. Maybe I’ll hit up both spots and get really stuffed with pancakes. I also like getting free stuff, not just food, on my birthday, and makeup stores such as Ulta and Sephora offer special birthdays gifts for rewards members. You’ll find plenty of free dessert deals on this list, as well. It’s worth noting that some of these programs require you to sign up in advance of your birthday, so hop on them quickly.
