If you’ve ever wondered where the upper crust lives in Michigan, we have your answer. There are plenty of nice cities in Michigan, but only a handful qualify for the so-called “richest” cities in Michigan. These cities reportedly have “five-star amenities” and attract the wealthiest Michiganders.
The crew at HomeSnacks.com has put together a list of the 10 Richest Cities in Michigan for 2021. “To create this list, we asked ourselves, what is important to rich people?” they state in the study. “Besides the obvious: high paying jobs, affluent neighborhoods, gigantic homes, and Michelin rated restaurants, the cities on our list cater to the ‘one percent’ on a different level: they are posh, posh.”
Homesnacks.com added, “Cities on our list like Grosse Pointe Farms offer beachfront access to Lake St. Clair and cities like Beverly Hills provide upscale golf courses that rival in comparison to Beverly Hills, California.”
To determine the cities, the outlet “narrowed down the richest cities in the Great Lakes State by looking at several factors: poverty rate, median household income, unemployment rate.” The cities also had to have a population of 5,000 or higher. So, what’s the No. 1 richest city in Michigan, and what cities round out the top 10? I was actually surprised by some of the towns on this list.
