Jekalyn Carr Honors Powerhouse Women Of Gospel Music With Thematic Pics

GRAMMY nominated and Stellar Award-winning Jekalyn Carr celebrates her 27th birthday today, just as she also completes her critically acclaimed performances on the nationally sold-out ONE HALLELUJAH TOUR.

If you’ve seen Jekalyn on tour, you may not know but the fashions she wears are self-designed! But for her birthday, she is paying homage to a select few of the musical legends who have inspired her career with a thematic birthday photo shoot. In celebration of her 27th birthday, Carr recreated the iconic album covers of GRAMMY winners Shirley Caesar, Yolanda Adams, Cece Winans, and Dorinda Clark Cole - all shot by famed photographer Marcus Owens.

Carr said, “A tribute to the greats! I thank each of you for all you have done! I look forward to celebrating more of the iconic women who have inspired me.”
