Hungry Black Man Food Festival Returns to Metro Detroit
As mentioned in today's Shannon's Scoop, is you're a food lover, clear your calendar for this weekend! The 2nd Annual Hungry Black Man Food Festival is back, promising to be bigger and better. Last year, the festival drew an impressive crowd of 10,000 people, and with 9,000 tickets already given out for this year, it's shaping up to be an event you don't want to miss. A Feast for the Senses The Hungry Black Man Food Festival is described as "an unforgettable foodie's dream, featuring a vast array of delicious sweet and savory creations by Detroit's Black food ecosystem." You can look forward to a diverse selection of flavors, with vendors offering soul food, low country, Creole, barbecue, Caribbean, Asian, Mexican, and other international cuisines. Hungry Black Man Food Festival Event Details This culinary festival will take place this Saturday, August 10th from noon. until 8 p.m. at the Avalon Village in Highland Park. There will also be hustle lessons from 6:30pm-7:30pm. While entry to the event is free, remember that you'll need to pay for the food you sample.
