PT 2. “A Promised Land” Presidential Memoir Book Series

January 19th, 2021

Tonight, we conclude our two-part discussion of Former President Barack Obam’s newest book, “A Promised Land.” During tonight’s show we discuss, the 1st Black Family and the significance and impact of the Obama’s being the 1st Black residents at 1600 Pennyslvania Avenue. We also talk about and discuss the world’s view of the 1st Black President, and how different it was from America’s view, and we close out our discussion talking about “The Next Black President.” Who is that going to be, Vice-President Elect Kamala Harris, or someone else; the merits of this discussion are endless.

PLUS, in the spirit of the MLK Day, and the celebration and recognition of one of the greatest American Leaders in our history; Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, we plan to share an excerpt of one of his powerful sermons entitled, “Paul’s Letter to American Christians.” This is powerful and dynamic word from the past that still resonants with us even until this day. And, remember at the end of the podcast, we plan to go live on instagram at 9:30pm to discuss the show with you. Follow us @TOLRadioHostMSN to join the fun.
