Jamie Foxx In Rehab Following Medical Complication
Jamie Foxx is on the road to recovery following a medical complication he suffered last month. According to TMZ, the Oscar-winning actor is in a rehabilitation center in Chicago. The family was by his side over the weekend including his daughters Corinne and Anelise, as well as Anelise’s mother, Kristin Grannis.
While Jamie’s condition is unknown, the tabloid reports that the facility the actor is in “specializes in stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury rehab, spinal cord injury rehab and cancer rehabilitation.”
Corrine provided an update about her father’s following rumors being spread about his well-being online. “Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild,” Corrine started her Instagram Story post Friday (May 12). “My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!”

She added: “We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!” Corrine gave no additional details about her father’s condition or why he was hospitalized last month. She is the DJ on Jamie’s show Beat Shazam. One month ago, she alerted fans about her father’s condition. “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” Corinne shared in a since-deleted Instagram post.
“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers,” the statement read. “The family asks for privacy during this time.” Several stars publicly gave their well wishes to Foxx and his family during this time.”
In other Jamie Foxx news, the actor and his daughter Corrine made a new work announcement Monday (May 15). The father-daughter duo will be the host of a new music-centric trivia game show per CNN. The show is set to debut in 2024.
As for their show Beat Shazam, the Foxx’s will be taking a leave of absence as Nick Cannon and guest DJ Kelly Osborne will co-host this season, which is scheduled to debut next week.
