Cedar Point Announces 2024 Fireworks Shows
The Fourth of July is on the way, and that means you’re going to have plenty of chances to see fireworks. Cedar Point has announced their massive 2024 fireworks shows, and it will feature two nights of the sparkling works. I used to be scared of fireworks as a kid, and I still don’t like the loud ones, but watching fireworks is an American tradition that you just have to do over the holiday.
Cedar Point 2024 Fireworks Shows
The Cedar Point fireworks shows, which the park calls “one of the largest fireworks displays in the Midwest,” will light up the sky at Cedar Point for two nights: July 4 and 5. “Set to an electric summertime soundtrack, the display will overtake the skies above the famous Cedar Point Beach near the front of the park,” they state. The display will take place at 10 p.m. July 4 and July 5, weather permitting. The location is Cedar Point, 1 Cedar Point Drive, Sandusky in Ohio. Also, guests are able to view the fireworks display at the VIP Beach Experience, which includes an all-you-can-eat meal, bottled beverage and a seat in the private fireworks viewing area. If you’re interested in the VIP experience, make reservations, as space is limited.
While You’re at Cedar Point
Aside from the Cedar Point fireworks shows, this year, the park has introduced a new coaster, which marks the world’s “first and only reimagined strata coaster.” I’m talking about the Top Thrill 2. So, what should you expect from this special ride? “With its three distinct launches, increased ride time of nearly two minutes and its second vertical tower, Top Thrill 2 makes its mark on roller coaster history and redefines the famous Cedar Point skyline,” the park says in a statement. “Riders join the CP Racing Team for an immersive experience, climbing into one of three sleek high-performance racing vehicles. Top Thrill 2’s trains feature open-air seating, providing heart-pounding views on the world’s first and only dual-tower vertical speedway.”
The Top Thrill 2 is one of many groundbreaking coasters Cedar Point offers. “Cedar Point has a long-lasting legacy of record-breaking roller coaster innovation and Top Thrill 2 delivers everything a thrill-seeker could want, including staggering height and speed,” Carrie Boldman, vice president and general manager of Cedar Point, said in a statement. Cedar Point is entering its 155th summer season, which is difficult to believe.
