MLB Player Gets Hit In The Junk Trying To Steal 2nd
Playing sports is a lot of fun, but can also cause a lot of pain. There’s your typical sports injuries which are never any fun, and then there’s the unfortunate mishaps. Detroit Tigers outfielder Akil Baddoo was the recipient of the latter, unfortunately.
Let’s set the scene: It’s the top of the second, Akil Baddoo gets a one-out walk. The plan is to steal second and advance into scoring position. And that’s when things went south. Cleveland Guardians catcher Mike Zunino throws down to second but he’s a bit off target, and unfortunately for Akil, his junk took the hit. To make matters even worse, the ball bounced off his junk into second baseman Andres Gimenez’s glove which resulted in the out. OUCH. Watch the video below. Thoughts and prayers to Akil’s family jewels.
