Taylor Swift is the kind of musician that even if you aren’t a huge fan of her music, it’s simply an event when she comes to your town. I can’t stop hearing the buzz about the big Taylor Swift tour coming to downtown Detroit this weekend. The Taylor Swift Detroit talk literally won’t stop.
Swift will perform in Detroit on Friday (June 9) and Saturday (June 10). Tickets were not easy to snag, so if you have some, consider yourself very lucky. If you don’t have tickets yet, you’ll find plenty available on the secondary market, but they will cost you.
The show is part of Swift’s ongoing “The Eras Tour,” which kicked off in March. This tour is so popular that when tickets were first made available last year, the high demand on the Ticketmaster website and apps caused everything to kind of crash. Now, resale tickets have been running thousands of dollars over face value. I have a few friends who spent more than a grand on tickets, so I can attest to the fact these prices are real.
If you’re heading to the Taylor Swift concerts at Ford Field, read on for what you need to know.
Taylor Swift Detroit:
Timing
Doors open at Ford Field at 4:30 p.m. The show formally starts at 6:30 p.m. Two openers will kick off the night for Swift: Gracie Abrams and girl in red on Friday, and OWENN and girl in red on Saturday. Swift is expected to go on 7:45 p.m. and 8 p.m., according to Setlist.fm.

Parking
Attendees may park in Ford Field lots for $50. Parking is available for pre-purchase on the Ford Field website. Of course, you’ll also find lots of parking around downtown Detroit. Weekends are busy in Detroit, so definitely plan out parking before you go.

Nursing moms
Breast Pumps are allowed n the stadium after inspection. Also, bags that are medically necessary, such as those for breast pumps, are permitted after inspection. That’s the only kind of large bag of its kind allowed in, though. Find Ford Field’s clear bag policy here.

What if you're dropping your kid off but don't have a ticket?
Ford Field does not offer a parent waiting room. To get into the stadium, you must have a ticket to the event. Also, children 17 years and younger need to be accompanied to the concert by a parent or adult over the age of 21.
