Costco is Selling Coronavirus Saliva Test Kits
If you’re looking for an at-home coronavirus test, one of America’s biggest wholesale retailers has you covered.
Costco is offering at-home coronavirus saliva test kits on its store website.
The saliva PCR tests aren’t cheap. The kits, administered by telemedicine platform AZOVA, run $129.99 for just the test kit or $139.99 for the test kit with a “video observation,” states the product descriptions.
Those who purchase the $129.99 test kit are supposed to get their results back within 24-72 hours after the lab gets their kit. The $139.99 test promises results within 24-48 hours after the lab receives it.
The PCR tests, according to the Costco website, are “the gold standard testing method with the most accurate sensitivity and specificity currently on the market.” The site also states the tests are FSA eligible and have been authorized by the FDA under the Emergency Use Act.
Note that the kits are not available in certain states, including Pennsylvania, Nevada or Maryland, according to the product descriptions.
